The Curriculum Network Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

1. About The Curriculum Network

The Curriculum Network is an education network operated by The Education Company Limited ("we", "us" or "our").

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of The Curriculum Network website, your membership of The Curriculum Network and your participation in the services and activities we provide.

By registering as a member or using the website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Membership

Membership of The Curriculum Network is intended for people aged 18 or over who work in, or have an interest in, the UK education sector. This includes teachers, school leaders, other education professionals and others with a genuine interest in education.

The Curriculum Network is primarily an educator network and is not intended as a membership platform for education suppliers or organisations wishing to use membership for commercial or promotional purposes.

Membership is completely free for educators. There are no products, subscriptions or other services available for members to purchase through The Curriculum Network website.

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend or terminate membership where we reasonably believe an account is being used inappropriately or contrary to these Terms & Conditions.

3. Member Accounts

Members are responsible for providing accurate information when registering and for keeping their account information up to date.

Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their login details and should notify us if they believe their account has been accessed without their permission.

Members can use their account to update their personal details and communication preferences.

Members can close their membership and delete their account at any time. Members can also unsubscribe from our marketing emails using the unsubscribe link provided in our communications.

The handling and deletion of personal information following closure of an account is subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

4. What The Curriculum Network Provides

The Curriculum Network provides members with access to a range of free education-related content, opportunities and activities.

These may include:

  • Articles and professional content

  • Podcasts

  • CPD and training

  • Online and in-person events

  • Webinars

  • Newsletters and communications

  • Research and opportunities to contribute to education sector discussions

  • Content and events created in partnership with other organisations

The services and opportunities available may change from time to time.

5. Events, Webinars and CPD

Members may register for free events, webinars, CPD and other activities organised through The Curriculum Network.

There is no penalty if a member registers for an event but is subsequently unable to attend.

Where appropriate, we may make recordings, materials or other post-event resources available to members who registered or to the wider network.

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to an event, including its date, time, location, format, content or speakers. We may also postpone or cancel an event where necessary.

Where an event is recorded, attendees will be informed where appropriate.

6. Sponsored Content and Events

The Curriculum Network works with education suppliers and other organisations that may support or sponsor content, podcasts, events, CPD and other activities.

Where content or an activity is sponsored or promotional in nature, we will identify this where appropriate.

Sponsorship does not give a third party general access to Curriculum Network member information.

We will only share a member's personal details with a third party where the member has explicitly opted in to that sharing.

Further information about how we use and share personal information is provided in our Privacy Policy.

7. Content and Professional Information

The Curriculum Network aims to provide useful, relevant and high-quality content for education professionals.

Articles, podcasts, events, CPD, training and other materials are provided for general information and professional development purposes.

While we take reasonable steps to provide useful and appropriate content, we do not guarantee that all information will be complete, accurate, current or suitable for every school, education setting or individual circumstance.

Views expressed by contributors, speakers, podcast guests or other third parties are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of The Curriculum Network or The Education Company Limited.

Members remain responsible for their own professional judgements and decisions and for determining whether information or content is appropriate for their particular circumstances.

8. Member Contributions

We encourage members of The Curriculum Network to contribute to the network. This may include writing articles, appearing on podcasts, speaking at events, contributing to discussions or providing other content.

Content cannot currently be published directly to The Curriculum Network website by members. Contributions are submitted to The Curriculum Network and we decide whether and how they are published.

By agreeing to contribute content, you give The Education Company Limited permission to publish, reproduce, host, distribute and promote your contribution in connection with The Curriculum Network.

This includes permission to make reasonable editorial changes for purposes such as length, clarity, formatting, presentation and accuracy.

Where agreed with the contributor, we may use their name, job title, school or organisation and photograph in connection with their contribution.

We may promote contributions through The Curriculum Network website, emails, social media and other relevant channels.

Unless otherwise agreed, previously published contributions may remain available after a contributor closes their Curriculum Network membership.

Contributors retain ownership of their original content unless alternative arrangements are agreed separately.

9. Intellectual Property

The Curriculum Network name, branding, website design and content created by The Curriculum Network are owned by, or licensed to, The Education Company Limited.

Members are welcome to read, watch, listen to, download and share our publicly available content for reasonable personal and professional purposes.

Content belonging to The Curriculum Network must not be commercially republished, sold, presented as somebody else's work or otherwise commercially exploited without our prior permission.

Content created by third-party contributors may also be subject to the intellectual property rights of those contributors.

10. Acceptable Use

Members must use The Curriculum Network and its website lawfully and responsibly.

Members must not:

  • Use the website or membership for fraudulent or unlawful purposes

  • Provide deliberately false or misleading registration information

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, member accounts or associated systems

  • Introduce malicious software or otherwise interfere with the operation or security of the website

  • Use an educator membership primarily for supplier sales, marketing or other unauthorised commercial activity

  • Behave in an abusive, threatening, discriminatory or seriously inappropriate manner towards our staff, speakers, contributors or other members

  • Seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms & Conditions

We may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or where this is necessary to protect The Curriculum Network, its members or other users.

11. Third-Party Websites and Resources

The Curriculum Network may contain links to third-party websites, resources and services.

These may include resources provided by podcast guests, speakers, contributors, education organisations, sponsors and other third parties.

These links are provided for information and convenience. Unless we explicitly state otherwise, we do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, accuracy or privacy practices.

Members should review the terms and privacy information of third-party websites before using them or providing personal information.

12. Availability and Changes to The Curriculum Network

We aim to keep The Curriculum Network website and services available and operating effectively, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or continuous availability.

We may change, add, remove, suspend or discontinue elements of The Curriculum Network at any time. This may include changes to website functionality, membership features, content, events or other services.

We may temporarily restrict access to the website for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

To the extent permitted by law, The Education Company Limited will not be responsible for losses arising from reliance on educational or professional content provided through The Curriculum Network, the actions or content of third parties, or the unavailability of the website or services.

Members are responsible for deciding how they use information, content and opportunities provided through The Curriculum Network.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

The Education Company Limited takes the protection of members' personal information seriously.

Personal information collected through The Curriculum Network will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, Data Protection Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

Members can manage their communication preferences through their account and can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to The Curriculum Network, our services, applicable law or our operating practices.

The latest version will be published on The Curriculum Network website with the date it was last updated.

Where we make a material change that significantly affects members, we may also communicate this through the website or by email where appropriate.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
