TCN Live: Building More Inclusive Schools: Practical Approaches to Inclusive Teaching and Whole-School Practice
What does effective inclusion look like in everyday practice, and how can schools build on what is already working?
In this event, Emma Sullivan, Kirsty Heys and Victoria Eustace from Lighthouse Education Trust, join Bernadette McGouran, an experienced SEND specialist in Further Education, to explore practical approaches to inclusive teaching and whole-school practice.
Drawing on their experiences across specialist provision, mainstream school outreach and Further Education, they discuss how educators can recognise barriers to learning, make meaningful adjustments without adding to workload, and support students through key transitions. The conversation also explores how schools can develop shared approaches to inclusion, build staff confidence and prepare for SEND reform.
